PERFORMER POLICY INFORMATION

- ONLY LIVE MUSIC by RaqsBand Lite will be used

- Your set will be a fast piece, a slow piece (taqsim or ballad), a live drum solo, and an exit -- unless other arrangements are made with Saqra. Doing something special? Please give Saqra input! We want you happy!

- You are welcome to see the RaqsBand Songlist at http://www.raqsband.com/songlist.html for the list of music and advice on selection BUT BECAUSE OF COVID many songs are not available at this time. You will be contacted with available songs for that hafla.

- If you do NOT know what you want, don't worry... the RaqsBand songlist also gives good general advice.

- Please plan to stay for the duration of the hafla and support the other dancers. This is essential.

- A tech check will be offered in advance of the show. You don't have to attend if you are certain you are good, but if you want to check out the band or check your settings are correct, PLEASE DO!

- Check in 30 minutes prior to showtime mandatory, 60 minutes much preferred to ensure there are no technical issues.

- Performances will be posted in an archive (as long as there isn't an issue that prevents that).

- If you have something urgent come up and will be late, communicate this with Saqra in advance so we don’t have to track you down or start the show late  

- Please share the event and help promote it

- Donations are requested at the haflas. You can accept your portion or opt out which defaults to the organizers.   

•   Tech tips:

   Be sure your video is turned off and your audio is muted when you are not the “spotlighted” performer.  

   Do some homework on Zoom use to familiarize yourself with it- there are tutorials and cheat sheets online; pre-test if possible. You can actually hold a meeting by yourself for no cost on Zoom which will give you great deal of info on lighting and camera quality. We control your sound so that should take care of most of your tech.

   If you are asked to share your screen or sound, be sure to TURN THEM BACK OFF after you’re done performing and keep them off unless requested otherwise.
